The short answer
EB-3 covers skilled workers (at least two years of training or experience), professionals with a bachelor's degree, and other workers. You need a job offer and, in most cases, an approved labor certification (PERM) first.
What to know
- The employer completes PERM, then files Form I-140.
- Skilled worker, professional and other worker each have their own rules.
- EB-3 lines are often longer than EB-1 and EB-2. Check the Visa Bulletin.
- Nurses and some other occupations commonly use EB-3.
