You pay the SEVIS fee online on the official I-901 fee site run for the government, using the details on your I-20 or DS-2019, and print the receipt. Pay before your interview and keep the receipt.

- You need your SEVIS ID and school code from the I-20 (or program number from the DS-2019).
- Pay only on the official site. Check the current amount there.
- Keep the receipt: you may be asked for it at the interview.
- The fee is separate from the visa application fee.
